Our flagship material

Banana Fiber

Emblematic of Hampi, this is truly the fibre of our existence. Banana fibre has been a part of our story for the last 30 years. The craft gives each artisan the ability to become a creative entrepreneur. The bark that dries up naturally on the banana plant is harvested and spun into rope and then used to create our sustainable collection. Banana Fibre products are known for their durability and ease of maintenance. Today this material is a completely artisan-led ecosystem.

Saving the Tungabhadra River

Water Hyacinth

Water Hyacinth, an invasive species, has been choking our precious water bodies and disrupting marine ecosystems. In 2017 when the hyacinth took over the Thungabhadra River, we thought of converting this ecological threat into a resource for livelihood through craft. Extracted from the river and sundried, the stems are then hand-woven into beautiful products. We don’t want to stop there; the ongoing exploration of innovative ways to use water hyacinth underscores a commitment to ecological balance and creative problem-solving.

Finishing Touches

Tamarind Beads

Our whimsical beads are moulded out of tamarind seeds that have been ground to a paste and dried. Inspired from a traditional art form this was our take on eco friendly embellishments. Completely natural and handmade, we paint them in brilliant colours to make you look fabulous.

Special Embellishments

Vaijanti Seeds

Collected from river grasses that grow along the river Thungabhadra, Vaijanti seeds are often used for worship but we love to add them to our products. Wear them strung around your neck or carry one of our accessories embellished with this gift from nature.
